Well, it wasn’t to be, but we had great fun trying!
Our poster designs for the Comic Sans Cancer campaign didn’t make the final selection but this was a case of the taking part, as it was for such a good cause!
Comic Sans, the font every designer loves to hate is 20 years old and to mark the occasion, the design world was invited to create posters illustrating just what the font means to them, with 200 being exhibited for all to see – and buy, with all proceeds going to Cancer Research UK.
This was a challenge we simply had to take on, and we came up with a set of four simple posters, based on contemporary slang dictionary additions, which explain how we feel about the font. Take a look below and let us know if you agree!
If you want to see the winning entries, they will be on show at The Proud Archivist in London in August and are available to buy at the event with proceeds going to Cancer Research UK. More details here.
