Marketing Enthusiast Rhyse Joins the Team
Root Fifty Two has boosted its workforce once again with the appointment of multi-talented apprentice Rhyse Hines.
Salford lad Rhyse joins the R52 team after a varied career in digital marketing, graphic design and social media, seeing him work as a digital marketing apprentice in Bolton before a recent move to Clayton-Le-Moors. Prior to his flourishing marketing career, he’d developed a serious set of teamwork and customer service skills, as the manager of a pub in St. Helens.
Rhyse’s interest in the marketing industry, however, was sparked during his time studying journalism at Leeds Beckett University. He said of his choice to move into marketing:
“I realised journalism wasn’t for me while I was at university, but there was so much within the related industries that interested me. The wealth of different careers within marketing really appealed – I’ve found digital marketing and analytics particularly interesting.”
“I still love writing and creating content and it’s great that I’ve found a career where I can continue to use those skills while achieving in an industry I enjoy being a part of. I just love the variety.”
Rhyse’s career plans are to continue creating, and to keep learning. “I want to work with specialists in all areas of marketing, and that’s why I’m excited to be working at Root 52. I’ve already got into PPC and analytics which I’ve been really enjoying. It’s all about seeing the other side of marketing; how it works, how people react to it and the social structures that make up the decisions marketers make.
“Once I complete my apprenticeship programme, I want to progress to an apprenticeship degree in marketing at UCLan. Eventually I’d love to specialise in PPC, but perhaps with graphic design in there too, because I really enjoy working on the creative side of marketing too.”
We’re extremely happy to welcome Rhyse to the R52 family and hope he’ll be happy stretching his creative wings here with us.
