The role

We’re looking for an organised, proactive and people-focused Account Manager to join our Client Partnership team. If you love building strong client relationships, keeping projects running smoothly, and working collaboratively across creative, digital and development teams, this could be the perfect role for you.

As an Account Manager, you’ll be the day-to-day contact for a portfolio of clients, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on brief, and on budget. You’ll translate client needs into clear actions, help coordinate internal teams, and make sure every project lands with impact.

This is a great role for someone with agency experience who enjoys variety, responsibility, and being at the centre of great client work.

Client partnership management:

  • Build positive, trusting relationships with your client contacts.

  • Spot opportunities to add value or expand existing work (with senior support).

Project delivery:

  • Manage multiple projects from brief to delivery.
  • Produce clear internal briefs and support teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Track budgets, timelines and scope, escalating risks early.
  • Ensure documentation, assets and communication stay organised and accessible.

Creative & digital collaboration:

  • Help shape briefs that guide creative and technical teams.
  • Translate client feedback into clear, actionable direction.
  • Support internal reviews and present updates confidently.

Commercial awareness:

  • Prepare quotes, statements of work and PO tracking.
  • Support forecasting and resource planning with senior oversight.
  • Maintain accurate financial documentation within project management tools.

Reporting & insight:

  • Assist with performance reports using support from strategy, data or digital teams.
  • Present updates to clients clearly and professionally.

New business support:

  • Contribute research, background insight and content for proposals.
  • Support the preparation of pitch decks and case studies.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience working in a creative, branding, digital or marketing agency (approx. 3–5 years).
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking ability.
  • Confidence running client meetings and managing multiple projects.
  • Good understanding of budgets, quoting and invoicing.
  • A collaborative attitude and willingness to learn.
  • A proactive mindset and passion for great work.

What success looks like:

  • Happy clients and strong day-to-day relationships.
  • Smooth project delivery with clear communication.
  • Accurate budget management and low scope creep.
  • Projects delivered on brief and on schedule.
  • Growing confidence in identifying opportunities for account growth.

Why join our team?

  • Work alongside a passionate, multi-disciplinary team.
  • Opportunities to develop your skillset across creative, digital and strategic areas.

  • Beer fridge
  • Birthdays off

What’s in it for you…

Hybrid & flexitime working

Our working week is 35.5 hours, and the core hours are 10:00 – 16:00, so you can start and finish whenever you want, provided you’re working during those hours. Friday’s also have the bonus of being able to finish at 15:30. At least one day a week can be spent working in the comfort of your own home.

Time off

The role comes with 28 days of holiday (inclusive of bank holidays), plus for every year of your services your holiday allowance increases by a day. You also get an additional day off on your birthday to celebrate (or mourn) being a year older.

Modern studio space

Our canal-side studio smack bang in the middle of Burnley has areas for both collaborative work or some quiet time, and a beer fridge and dart board. There is also on-site car parking available.

Training & development

Our culture of growth and progression comes with your own personal budget for training, allowing you to learn something new, get better at what you’re already good at, or improve your soft skills like public speaking.

Away from your desk

We have regular team lunches, walking meetings, quarterly days away, and random nights out, especially as the weather gets nicer.

This role is perfect if you want to work in a fast-paced, creative agency where no two days are the same. If that sounds good to you, fire over your CV to hireme@rootfiftytwo.co.uk
