Senior Marketing & Campaigns Executive
We are looking for a Senior Marketing & Campaigns Executive to support the planning, development, and delivery of marketing activity across a range of retained client accounts.
The role
This role sits between strategy and execution. It is suited to someone who enjoys taking objectives, shaping plans, coordinating activity, and helping ensure the work produced across multiple disciplines remains aligned, effective, and commercially relevant.
We are looking for a marketer first and a specialist second. Someone who understands how different channels, campaigns, and outputs work together to support wider business objectives, and who is confident contributing ideas, recommendations, and direction that strengthen the quality of delivery.
A strong understanding of SEO and digital performance would be highly beneficial, but this is not a channel-specific role. It is about helping connect strategy, activity, and outcomes.
You will work closely with the Head of Marketing, Account Leads, designers, developers, content specialists, and performance specialists to help turn client objectives into clear marketing activity that delivers meaningful results. You will also support selected client conversations where your input helps clarify campaign direction, performance context, or recommended next steps.

You won’t be expected to be the deepest technical specialist in every discipline, but you will be expected to understand how the pieces fit together, ask the right questions, and contribute to the quality of the work being delivered. The role also requires someone who can communicate clearly and confidently when involved in client discussions and support on new enquires discovery meetings to convey requirements and propose and produce tangible & measurable outcomes achieving the desired success needed.

What you’ll be working on
Campaign Planning & Output Curation
- Support the development of marketing plans and campaign activity across a range of client accounts
- Help turn client objectives into clear, structured activity across content, design, digital, and performance channels
- Shape the direction of campaign outputs, ensuring work remains joined-up, relevant, and aligned with wider client strategy
- Brief internal teams clearly, providing the context, objectives, and requirements needed to produce effective work
- Review campaign outputs before they move forward, helping ensure quality, consistency, relevance, and strategic fit
- Identify where activity needs strengthening, refining, or better connecting across channels
Performance-Aware Marketing
- Use performance insight to help guide campaign direction, content priorities, and future recommendations
- Understand how SEO, digital performance, user journey, and conversion considerations influence marketing output
- Work with specialists to ensure campaign activity is supported by appropriate data, targeting, tracking, and optimisation
- Help ensure performance thinking informs the work without reducing the role to channel management or reporting alone
Internal Coordination & Delivery
- Work closely with Account Leads, designers, developers, content specialists, and performance specialists to help move work forward
- Join client calls and meetings where useful, contributing campaign context, recommendations, and performance-aware input
- Maintain clear visibility of campaign priorities, outputs, dependencies, and next steps
- Support the Head of Marketing with planning, internal alignment, and campaign development where required
- Help surface risks, gaps, or missed opportunities early, then work with the relevant team members to address them
- Contribute ideas, improvements, and recommendations that strengthen the quality of marketing output across client accounts
What we’re looking for
- Experience within a marketing, campaign management, or digital marketing role, ideally within an agency environment
- Strong understanding of how different marketing disciplines contribute to wider business objectives
- Ability to connect ideas, channels, and activity into coherent campaign plans
- Confidence working with internal stakeholders across marketing, creative, digital, development, performance, and Account Lead teams
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Comfortable interpreting performance data and using it to support marketing decisions
- A proactive mindset and a genuine interest in improving the quality of marketing activity
- Experience with SEO and digital performance marketing would be highly beneficial
- Clear and confident communicator, comfortable contributing to internal discussions and selected client-facing conversations

- Internal teams have the information, context, and direction needed to deliver effectively

- Account Leads are well supported with the context, recommendations, and campaign thinking needed for client conversations
- Your contribution helps improve the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of Root Fifty-Two’s overall marketing delivery
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5-7 years' experience in a marketing role, ideally within an agency environment.
- Proven ability to manage marketing campaigns across digital (SEO, PPC, SEM, email, social) and offline channels.
- Comfortable supervising or mentoring team members.
- Solid understanding of Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Search Console).
- Skilled in interpreting campaign metrics and generating actionable insights.
- Effective communicator with strong client-facing and internal collaboration skills.
- Experience managing multiple campaigns with shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
- Competent in copywriting, proofreading, and reviewing content for marketing purposes.

Hybrid & flexitime working
Our working week is 35.5 hours, and the core hours are 10:00 – 16:00, so you can start and finish whenever you want, provided you’re working during those hours. Friday’s also have the bonus of being able to finish at 15:30. At least one day a week can be spent working in the comfort of your own home.
