Pendleside Hospice
Redefining a community cornerstone.
We created a refreshed, positive brand identity for Pendleside Hospice to increase awareness of its extensive services.
Pendleside Hospice is a familiar organisation within Burnley and Pendle, providing compassionate end-of-life care and other invaluable holistic services to those with life-limiting illnesses and their families. The existing perceptions focussed on end-of-life care, overlooking the other emotional and well-being services they provide.
Our mission was to redefine the brand DNA that showcases Pendleside’s personality and role in the community.

Immersing ourselves
We started the project with an immersive discovery phase to better understand the services the charity provides and to establish their needs, values and vision for the brand. This gave us a solid foundation on which to build a more modern and vibrant brand image, which exudes warmth and positivity.





Brand refresh and logo evolution
With our new insights, we got to work on building the Pendleside Hospice brand by developing its identity and personality, and created cohesive messaging to be used at all stages of the user journey. We introduced a more vibrant and harmonious colour palette to inject light and positivity into the brand, applying this to a revitalised logo and modern typefaces, for maximum readability and appeal.



The impact
The refreshed branding has already made a significant impact, showcasing Pendleside as an inviting, inclusive and vibrant place that offers more than just end-of-life care.
