Creating an authentic and distinctive brand identity for an award-winning healthcare architect.
In a project spanning seven months, we joined forces with Gilling Dod to re-imagine and reinvent their brand identity, tone of voice and website.
Gilling Dod are an award-winning healthcare architectural practice, specialising in designing healthcare and well-being spaces for NHS trusts throughout the UK.
The heart of our work with them was the need for a brand that better reflected their unique identity, values and rich 141-year history - while simultaneously preparing the studio for the next generation of leaders
The beginnings
Our first priority for this project was to delve into the heart of who Gilling Dod are. This hands-on and personal approach saw our team hosting various workshops at their studio, allowing us to gain an in-depth understanding of their people and their industry.



Establishing a concept
Through a series of activities and workshops, we were able to successfully tease out the personality and core values of the Gilling Dod brand, which then allowed us to create a creative and fully aligned branding concept with a comprehensive brand DNA.




The visual brand
By combining tradition with modernity, we’ve created a striking visual brand identity that successfully captures their 141-year legacy and yet confidently prepared them for the future.







A new website
After finalising the visual brand identity, our web designers and developers worked together to create an intuitive and visually engaging website. Our copywriters then brought the brand to life with a fresh set of tone of voice guidelines and engaging website copy.
