Last year, Econsultancy – the leaders in all things digital, reported an average return on investment of £21.48 for every one pound spent in 2013 across email marketing. With this in mind earlier this year Root Fifty Two decided to take look at how email could help us grow our business and gain more from our hard earned database.
What we did:
We reviewed five email marketing platforms considering cost, features and usability to ensure we have the best tools on the market. Enabling us to roll out strategic email marketing campaigns on time and on budget!
We tweaked the structure of our current email template and developed a series of mobile-responsive email designs.
To support our growth plans and business development activity we purchased an email list of our ideal clients from a DMA approved supplier.
How it helped us:
- Cleansed our contact database removing the contacts that had moved on.
- Gave us a warm list of contacts to follow up on, which we gave the endearing nickname ‘serial clickers’.
- We received three new enquiries from old contacts resulting two new exciting new projects …keep your eyes peeled for the launch of our new websites featuring our latest work!
- Gave us a structure for our own targeted campaigns in line with our overall strategy
