Instagram is an app used for sharing photos. It is constantly growing and has almost 90 million users.
It is a great app to share updates for your business. Many companies use Instagram to post ‘behind the scenes’ images, competitions, vacancies, or simply product images, as a way of visual marketing. You can also link Instagram to other Social Media accounts, such as Twitter and Facebook, so the posts show on there too.
A picture says a thousand words – Instagram is much more engaging that an ever-changing text-filled Twitter feed. Similar to Twitter, hashtags are used to group images of the same topic.
Instagram will work better for some clients than others. We have a bridal shop client who it’s great for! They can post images of their new arrivals and use hashtags such as #bridal #wedding #weddingdress.
