At Root Fifty-Two, we’re all about helping people – whether it’s the brands we work with or the projects we breathe life into – that’s why we’re proud to continue supporting Burnley FC in the Community (BFCitC) for another year.

Our partnership with BFCitC is something we value deeply. Their scope reaches far beyond the footy pitch, working with schools, supporting local families and creating safe, inspiring spaces for people of all ages to thrive.

As a local business based in Burnley, giving back to our community is something we pride ourselves in. BFCitC creates significant and lasting impact thanks to its amazing initiatives including educational programmes, mental health support, community kitchens and inclusive sports sessions, improving the lives of thousands of local people. We’re proud to stand alongside them again this year.

“Burnley FC in the Community are a huge part of what makes this town special. It’s not just about football, it’s about people. The work they do genuinely changes lives and it’s our privilege to support their mission,” says Barrie Thompson, Operations Director at Root Fifty-Two.

Over the past 12 months, our team has rolled up their sleeves and got stuck into various fundraising activities, including locking our director Barrie up in a cell at Burnley Police Station, and raising over £2,000 to help him ‘break free’!

We also attended BFCitC annual Golf Day, raising further money for the charity.

This year, on 6th June, the brave Root Fifty-Two team will be skydiving from 15,000 feet! All sponsorship raised will support BFCitC projects, including:

  • Education and employability support
  • Mental health and wellbeing services
  • Disability sport and inclusive activities
  • Dementia cafés and cancer rehabilitation
  • Youth development and veteran support

Want to see the kind of impact they’re making? Have a flick through their latest report right here.

We’re aiming to raise £1,000 over the next 12 months, with this and other activities, and we’d love your help to reach our goal. Every donation, big or small, will help make a real difference to local people. You can donate, here.
