We’re thrilled to share that Michael Barker has been promoted to Creative Director.
Since joining Root Fifty-Two back in 2020, Michael has played a key role in shaping standout creative work across our branding, digital and marketing projects for our clients. With over thirteen years’ of experience as a designer and a track record of delivering thoughtful, high-impact design, this move is a natural next step for both Michael and the agency.
Michael originally joined us as a graphic and web designer after spending seven years at a Manchester-based design agency. Looking to work closer to home in Clitheroe, he joined the team, bringing with him a fresh perspective and a talent for branding and soon stepped into the role of Creative Lead, taking on responsibility for some of our most ambitious projects.
As Creative Director, Michael will lead our stellar team of designers and creatives in championing collaboration, inspiring ideas and helping us to push creative boundaries in everything we do.
Our Managing Director, Kimberley Thompson says, “Michael’s promotion to Creative Director marks a significant step forward for the agency. His forward-thinking approach will be invaluable as we continue to grow and deliver more value to our clients.”
Michael also commented on his promotion, saying, “Becoming Creative Director is the pinnacle of any designer’s ambitions, and I’m so proud to be given the opportunity. As well as working with our whole team in creating and delivering effective work, I also want to expand our reach and influence and create an inspiring place to work. I’m really looking forward to seeing how far we can take the agency.”
