What An Achievement!

Yes, he did it! Our ‘Iron Man’ James Young took to the cold, choppy waters of Lake Windermere and not only swam the complete 10.5 mile length of the lake, but did it in an incredible time of 5 hours 30 minutes, coming in first in his group of 10.
James’ achievement on the day was made possible by his total commitment to finishing the swim and reaching his own donation target – and his many hours of training in Burwains Reservoir.
So the big question … was it all worth it?
A resounding Yes! Thanks to the efforts of James and his fellow swimmers, the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust benefited to the tune of over £24,000, a fantastic sum for this very specialist charity.
Congratulations to James and a big thanks to all who sponsored him.
