We've hit our £30,000 milestone for The Brain Tumour Charity!

We’re happy to share that we’ve now raised £30,027 for The Brain Tumour Charity, thanks to our fourth annual Charity Golf Day. At our latest event at Nelson Golf Club on Tuesday 16th September, we raised £5,243.50, pushing our total since 2020 past £30,000. But our commitment goes beyond a single event.
This charity means a lot to Root Fifty-Two for a very personal reason; our director, Kimberley, experienced her dad, Ian, being diagnosed with a primary brain tumour and sadly passing away.
“This cause is deeply personal to us and reflects in our culture and values. My father, Ian, was diagnosed with a primary brain tumour in 2019, and sadly passed away in September 2020. Supporting The Brain Tumour Charity is our way of honouring his memory and helping others affected by this devastating illness,” says Kimberley.
Brain tumours can affect anyone, at any age, and often come without warning. The charity’s work to speed up research, improve treatments, and support patients and families is vital. It needs ongoing support, not just one-time help.
Kimberley became a BRIAN Champion for the charity, helping to raise awareness and funds by starting projects like our annual Charity Golf Day and The Power of Print campaign. We invite clients, partners, and our whole community to join us. What makes us most proud isn’t just the money raised, but the teamwork and effort behind it.
“Your fundraising has made a genuine and lasting difference to people affected by a brain tumour, helping us fund world-class research and ensure that families receive the support they need at the toughest times in their lives. We simply couldn’t do what we do without partners like you”, says Nadia Whitmore, Community Fundraiser at The Brain Tumour Charity.
We couldn’t have done any of this alone. We’re truly grateful to Nelson Golf Club, our sponsors, local businesses, clients, friends, and everyone who has donated, attended, shared, or supported us. This milestone is yours as much as ours. Ian would be proud of what we’ve achieved together.
Reaching £30,000 isn’t the end. It reminds us why we keep supporting The Brain Tumour Charity, raising awareness, and using our platform to help fund the research and care that families urgently need.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us!
